Limited Repair Service
You may be wondering why I offer limited repair service, as oppose to a full repair service. Reason is that the time it takes to fully diagnose and repair a computer varies quite a bit. It could take no longer than 5 minutes, but sometimes when parts need to be interchanged, it could take a few hours to days. Since I work an 8-5 job it is difficult for me to plan repair situations. I don't want to put a person (or be put into a situation myself) where delays happen because I am attending to my regular job.
If repairs cannot be handled over the email/phone or you are not comfortable working with a computer then you would have to be taken to my house or arrange for me to come over. You can be present during the diagnosis (much like a doctor's office) and then it would be your decision whether you would like to have it fixed.
Most software related problems can be fixed as well as hardware. However, if a full diagnosis confirms any failures from the hard drive or storage unit, it would then be up to you to seek further assistance from a professional to retrieve your data, or we can replace the unit out. I only do data recovery at the user's discretion. This means that I am not liable for any data loss in the event that attempted repairs fail.
IF a house call IS necessary:
We can schedule for me to come by your house during the weekends, or in certain circumstances the weekdays. Compensation is usually dependent on the repair itself. If it's a simple thing then there might not even be a charge at all (possibly gas at most). If I have to do a few visits then lunch/dinner or a donation to the charities I have listed will suffice.
