This was definitely a fun build. I called this the sleeper build, because essentially the case that was picked for it ended up being very low profile, just black, no super giant fans or laser beams. It didn’t even have a window to show off the innards. Once you look inside this beast though, you know it’s packing 😉 To compliment the CPU, an MSI 250GT 512MB card was installed. Alongside 4 gigabytes of memory from G.Skill, called Ripjaws. The CPU wouldn’t be complete without a huge Zalman heatsink to go along with it. Check out the gallery for the size comparisons with the stock cooler.

What’s a media computer without the ability to watch tv?? An Asus PC TV Tuner card was installed. Trust me, this thing can definitely keep up with the Kardashians.

Windows 7 ran flawlessly under the i5 environment. It has a 24″ Asus monitor. I have to say that thing was amazing. Very vibrant colors and did I mention it was 24″??

The budget stayed well below $1,500 for everything (including the monitor) in fact I think this thing retailed at around $1,200.
